What a beautiful sister of mines, proud to be a Song. Wo xi huan ni. Zuying, fei chang gan xie. Ni hen hao.

She has to sing in a language that will make money. Remember, she is a singer and her music is what brings food onto the table. She has to sing in a language that people understand so they can pay for her concert. It's purely business. Alot of Hmong-Americans sing in English too, but that doesn't make them less Hmong. We are all Hmong/Miao. Support each other and love each other. We must not let other separate us anymore. I think 6oo years of separation is enough already. She is Hmong/Miao

We are the same people!!! Stop trying to separate our people apart. We are united. Just because she doesn't sing in Hmong/Miao that doesn't mean she's not Hmong/Miao or proud to be one. She is very proud of her ethnicity. We need to love and support her as much as we do with Mim Haag. We are all Hmong/Miao!!!

I disagree with you that Ayouduo is not Hmong/Miao. She is Hmong-Chinese, just happen to not to be from Wenshan/Paaj Tawg Laag. Ayouduo is Hmong/Miao, she speak a different Hmong/Miao dialect that we Hmong-American don't understand. Mim Haag is a Hmong-Chinese of Wenshan/Paaj Tawg Laag so we understand her 80%.

I don't think Song Zuying speaks any Miao, because I remember in an interview she mentioned that she grew up in a very sinicized Miao area and speaks only Chinese. If you want to listen to singers in Miao, go listen to ayouduo, but you won't be able to understand her much either, since ayouduo isn't hmong either, but a different tribe of Miao. Mee Hang, on the other hand, is Hmong.

These two songs are my favorite. They fit Song Zuying very well. This is really who she is!!

In America we are called Hmong, and most of us do not perform these traditional songs or in this style, but there is a type of singing that follows the same structure. Mee Hang and Maiv Xooj do perform in this style and fashion. Mee Hang is more tradional with what you saw, Maiv Xooj is more contemporary.

actually, there is a video somewhere in here if you didn't know. she went to her village & sang in miao.. however, i can barley understand her.

I know but it will be nice just to hear her sing in Miao. Only once would be soo nice.

well, she is popular in china & to the chinese people..just because she sings in chinese.. doesn't mean she doesn't like her own people.. :)

I swear, the beggining of this song sound so similar to a song that was sing in a hmong documentation film. will she ever sing in hmong like Mee Hang. Maby that's why she is second best to me. "She is Miao(Hmong)!!" What's wrong with her!! Do she not like her people!!
