AMAZING: Russian Space Junk Falls to Earth

That is some insane lens there buddy. Did ya'll see how far away it was and then zoom in and now every debri can be clearly seen falling apart. Freakin' awesome. I have a feeling this may have been the Mir space station.

When a multi stage rocket is sent into orbit the lower stages are jettisoned as the fuel in them is expended, most of this is jettisoned in earth's atmosphere and splashes down without burning up - however some rocket stages to end up in orbit and fall back to earth, ending up as spectacular sky shows like this. Also dead satelites and abandoned spacecraft on occasion come down like this as well: skylab, Mir, and soon... Reconsat 193 keep your eyes on the sky for debris from the recent shootdown

lol its a meteor showers not a satelite looks closer the meteor explodes and the blue bits on the end is the gasses burning up

wow, it seems like nobody knew this was coming until after the event! How do people know this wasn't supposed to be some kind of bomb or something? I wish we would have gotten some kind of warning (unless it was something that failed and nobody really knew it was coming in).
