Video Comments ![]() would you recemend this pedal for say a led zeppelin tone? ![]() You'll want to have your amp on the clean channel or maybe slightly distorted for this pedal to shine. ![]() hey man, nice vid. I am planning to buy this pedal. One question, does this blues driver preform when the amp is clean or distorted?
i ask this cuz i got a fender champ 12 torrus modded ![]() The twin is a great amp when it's cranked up,I think the problem is with the BD 2.thanks for your help Justin. ![]() Hey davie...
I would hope that it's the BD-2's problem; thats a fantastic amp, I hope there's nothing wrong with it. I have never heard of anything like this happening, I'm sorry, I reccomend you take it to a professional.
-Justin
P.S. how are you liking the twin? ![]() Hi jdawg4098, I have a Fender 78 Twin reverb but as its too loud in house for overdriven sounds I use a blues driver so that I can get that effect at a lower level,it had been going great until two months ago, now I'm getting a horrible grungy sound,I got my amp serviced thinking it was the amp but still getting that horrible sound, could there be something wrong with the pedal?,its nearly two years old,I always have it on constant, thanks Davie. ![]() Don't scoop your mids. I have my mids at full most of the time. The guitar is a midrange instrument. Clean channel + BD-2 is what you want. Play with whatever reverb you want, I usually play with just alittle. You should probably have gain at 12 oclock fo that SRV tone. ![]() I just bought the pedal and I'm playing a MIM 60th anniversary Strat through a Fender FM 25DSP. The amp can simulate different kinds of tube amps but I've noticed that you get a tone far closer to what I'm looking for. Should I just run it through the clean channel with some reverb? What kind of levels on the pedal am I looking at for the SRV tone you were getting? Do you scoop your mid or not? ![]() thanks...im probably getting another amp in the remotely near future, gotta get the cash for it though...probably like a fender blues junior or somethin...thanks for the help tho, crybaby's not workin still so probably something's wrong w/ it beyond my control haha ![]() Well honestly i think the classic channel on the microcube is great for classic rock as it is. The BD definitely makes the distortion clearer and crisper, which is great for recording... but really, the microcube does sound good. If the micro is all you have, saving for another larger amp would be wiser.
About the crybaby, make sure your battery is all right, stomp it on and off a few times, and make sure your wiring through the pedal isnt backwards. That's gotten me a few times.
Thanks =) ![]() hey there. love this video, im a big blues guy and right now, the only amp i have is a microcube, which i noticed in the video that you have...anyway, im planning on getting a blues driver, so any suggestions on how to use it w/ that? also, i have a crybaby, and it won't hook up to the cube, like i can't hear my guitar..suggestions? ![]() thanks man :D ![]() Blues driver with 410 for hendrix. =) ![]() i have a blues jr. and a '68 japanese strat, which one would you suggest for more of a hendrix sound a blues driver or a ts5(im only asking about the ts5 because my friends dad would sell it to me for 20 bucks)? i asked this comment earlier but it was aimed towards you not fpacheoventura, lol sorry i wasnt clear ![]() Thanks man.
410 for crisp mids and highs, 212 for rumbly warm bass and mids. ![]() thanxs for the review i love how you demonstrate with a strat and a deville, an amp im aiming at gettng lol oh which would you suggest your 212 or a 410? ![]() i have a blues jr. and a '68 japanese strat, which one would you suggest for more of a hendrix sound a blues driver or a ts5(im only asking about the ts5 because my friends dad would sell it to me for 20 bucks)? ![]() If you're trying to do Stevie Ray kind of stuff, the TS9 is the way to go if you have a tube amp. Both of the others that you mentioned can do it, but its kind of the cheap-mans way to getting the TS9 tone through Digital replication. ![]() Great video!
Which one do you think is better, blues driver, tubescreamer, Behringer blues overdrive? ![]() Thanks. I hated this pedal but now I see I have the wrong pedal. It is useless for distorted rhythm with a Les Paul. However high gain lead does good. ![]() Nice review, thanks! ![]() I liked your review found it helpful. |
