Norwegian elkhounds and Swedish Jämthunde possess a genes that suggest they were domesticated independently of all other dog breeds (all of which are descended from grey wolves). Norwegian elkhounds are a beautiful breed. I have never been so impressed by the tracking ability or temperament of a dog. And I have only seen police German Shepherds with more intelligence. I fell in love with both the women and the dogs of Norway and highly suggest you visit...

Cool! Beautiful Norwegian Girl with a Sig rifle! Wish we could use dogs here in Montana. WOuld save me a lot of hiking. They recalled a few of the Sig rifles. Make sure this isn't one of them!
