Description: Part 124 of the Final Fantasy VI Advance playthrough. Ultima Buster out of the way, it is time to make my way to the next boss: Gold Dragon! For setup: Have everyone equipped with equipment that can absorb or negate Lightning (or in this case: Minerva Bustier, Thunder Shield, and Paladin's Shield) Strategy used against Gold Dragon: This boss does nothing BUT spam Thundara, Thundaga, and Gigavolt, which happens to be ONLY magic AND Lightning elemental. Lufia_Maxim suggests using Berserk on Gold Dragon and then summon Phantom (for invincibility), but I decided not to use it. It would have saved lots o' time, but I don't care about time. The boss is easy anyway. Like I said, have Lightning absorbing or negating equipment on, and you have this fight in the bag. Oh, as for offense: Flood works wonders on this boss. As for Low Level: Gau with Io for Flare Star FTW! (Of course, Berserk + Phantom is also FTW!) Yep, I chucked an Ultima. It is cheap, but at least I didn't spam the hell out of it. One more dragon to go! Time to teleport, and clear another section of Kefka's Tower! For the next run, I place the same party in the third party area, and filled the other 2 party areas with a full party (gonna need them to advance deeper.) Helpful for blocking, but Thunder Shields are better (absorbs).

Would the Aegis Shield be useful in this battle?

A long time (as they are rare steals), plus the enemy (Galphydes sp) is a rare encounter indeed. But since I am usin' emulator, I had to modify the encounter (via codes...¬¬) so I can fight them (but I did steal them though)

How long did it take you to get those Celestriads? If I'm correct, I saw 4 I think.
