Description: Part 9 of the Final Fantasy VI Advance playthrough. I did get a Game Over, but I snipped it out with VirtalDub. I got finished off by Gale Cut, which is an extremely powerful move. Advancing through Mt. Kolts, and meeting Vargas. This is the boss of this area. Strategy used against Vargas and Ipoons: What you want to do is keep HP past 50, especially for Terra. Vargas has a really powerful attack called Gale Cut, which hits the party for around 50 or so damage. As for the Ipoons, hit them with Autocrossbow. When Vargas is alone, use Locke to try to steal the Mythril Claws, which I didn't get. Just keep going with Bioblaster. After so much damage, Sabin will come in. When you use Sabin, YOU HAVE TO BLITZ! If you can't Blitz, even if your life depended on it, you are screwed. The instructions are pretty simple. After defeating Vargas, Sabin will join the party. In my current game, I actually did steal the Mythril Claws off of Vargas.

You forgot the Gigas gloves in a secret passage back there in Part 8

These were my levels: At the Narsh mines I trained tell level 5. At Mt Zolt I trained tell level 11-12.

There are many blitz skills that you gain each level for Sabin like lvl=Rage Left Right Left

Level up is pretty important in the game. If you want to make better use of stats, go low level until you get to Zozo. There, you get Espers that allow you to get boosts when you level up.

Is this game like Final Fantasy VIII where you could finish the game at lvl 10 or below because the enemies level increased with your level? I'm having problems with the Blitz command timming so I'm at lvl 12 here. Level up is not important in FFVI?

Dont you have to press like, left left right or something to do blitz?
