This songs is open to many different interpretations, but it seems to be based on wanting to run away from your past that haunts you and the feelings of guilt, and the desire to have the slate whiped clean in the afterlife. It seems like instead of coming clean to the person you love, you would rather end both of your life's and start over in a new perfect world such as ruby falls
