The ram and the CPU in your desktop are at oposite sides of the 2133, the ram is less and the CPU is more. If you get the 2133 with 2GB RAM (i reccomend you do; if its not avaliable with 2gb ram and xp then buy a 2gb ram seporately) then you should get moderatly simular poformence, remember though that the CPU is quite slower and will be the limiting facotr for you.
The specs on the Acer one, in general, are worse, and that puts me of. I need things like 2GB RAM and the expandablity of the HP 2133, and to mention it; the durability.
This is a very slow system with a very slow out dated processor. This laptop came out before the Atom processor. Battery life is only 1.5 hours if you get the the $400 model, 4 hour for the $640 model. Get the the New Acer One 160 gig, 6 cell battery with the Atom Processor for $400 instead....
please do not buy this laptop i made the mistake of buying this and 3 months later im trying to sell it
what a piece of shit it cant even play video properly.
does wow work on this pc, please reply
wow.. you use storm player?
g'day josh i baught a hp mini note, i just wanted to know if downgrading to xp helps the heating of the computer. and did u find the fan a large problem??? because i did i had to return it to the show!
No, your not going to get the same performance. The possessor wont be as fast. But it will still be fairly good.
i really really need an answer for this please: i have a desktop with intel Pentium 4 2.66GHz and a 512MB of ram running XP and im pretty happy with it but im starting to study pharmacy this October and im thinking about this mini note will it be able to provide the same performance as my desktop or not ??? im thinking about the 750$ version and putting XP in it!!! thanks in advance
Does the Mini-Note Windows edition come with a Windows cd/dvd? or just has Windows installed? Thanks.
hi josh just wanted to know which media player r u usin as my quicktime video does not allow me 2 play propely
wot cpu is it,atom? i guess playn 720p on the hp is outta the question lol. guess the asus with atom can play hd.
What's the config?
Yeah, it gets pretty toasty. Just don't set the mini-note on your crotch and you'll be fine
Is it true that the machine runs super hot?
no DVD drive...
you cant put in a DVD and play it?
What about .MKV files? those are the High Def video files, would it be smooth on it?
Are you going to try Linux on it? It will probably run even faster than XP with no frame delay.
Batterylife on XP!
I have an IDE to USB adapter and just use an old cdrw/dvd drive. You can pick up the adapters for $25 or so.
How do you play dvd's with no dvd player?
great review! thanks!
