Video Comments ![]() where is da fuckin bird? can u see it? ![]() airliners are required by all countries to be able to fly with only one engine ![]() Food for thought! ![]() The highest bird strike reported to date occurred on November 29, 1973, at 37 000 feet. It involved the collision of a commercial jet airliner and a Ruppeli's Griffon Vulture which was flying over Abijan, Ivory Coast. Another reported bird strike occurred at 33 000 feet involving a goose and a Pan Am Boeing 747. ![]() that bird was at the wrong place at the wrong time and got roasted ![]() AAAHHHHHH BULLLLSSSSHHHHIIIITTTT!!!! I have heard some tall tales before but that one is the tallest! ![]() Arghh nightmare! That didnt sound too healthy. ![]() Highest bird strike was recorded at 34000ft. It was a vulture over Kenya. The bird breeched the flight deck and took the First Officer's head off. ![]() an unbearable tragedy ![]() They tried to collect what feathers the could find ![]() Could they save the bird? ![]() gosh do birds fly that high?? ![]() go to EpicSpoofage and waqch their new video What is love? ![]() Das erlebt man echt nicht alle Tage ;D ![]() Well this is the reason why the attentands do their training... as they say "Safety first! and Calm the passengers!" ![]() Well yes.. I did say "ANYWHERE"!! :p But if someone gets a double strike.. sorry but he would be better not to play the lottery that day!! ![]() yeah, but if you got a double strike at the time the bird hit, the pilot couldn't make it back to the airport. he would have to ditch it on the water... the worst type of crash landing... ![]() for most of it he is banking left, and who said it was a left engine faliure anyway? ![]() MONACOOOOOOOOOOOOO ![]() I'll think about a video then! ![]() Matt, let's see how well you'd do in a birdstrike ![]() Turning right with a left engine failure at approach speed is asking for trouble!!! Your pilot must of spent his childhood on a flight sim!!!! ![]() That horrible whining sound is just the power transfer unit providing hydraulic pressure to the failed engine...not really the kind of sound you want to hear when something like that happens though :) ![]() It's just a bird strike... It's more common than you think. That and lightning strikes. I had to go to Milwaukee for a #2 engine change cuz they took a goose in the engine on approach at 500ft. Seized the engine instantly, landing was a non-event. Boy did that engine stink when we got there... There were pieces of the engine that are supposed to be internal that were hanging out of the bypass valves. Plus all the bird guts. ![]() That noise would of gave me a heart attack. |
